5 months and other pics!!

Sorry we're behind on posting pictures. The past month and a half have been busy ones. Here's a few pics from June to help get caught up!

Bow Head

Mommy hasn't made Lila into a girly girl but at the request of my BFF Lynn I purchased Lila some HUGE bows. Luckily I just ordered the Medium size...I can't imagine how big the Large would be.

Daddy doesn't like the bows because Lila knocks him in the head with them when she turns her face....Ha Ha Ha!

Lila goes Swimming!

The water's finally warm enough and today Mommy and Lila ventured into the pool for the first time. Although it took a few seconds to get used to the water...Lila loved it! She laid back in her floatie some but also splashed and kicked her legs. Mommy tried to stop it but Lila enjoyed lapping up some of the water too.

Lila stays with her Grandparents

This is jumping back a few weeks ago but Lila stayed with her Grandparents for 4 days so Mommy and Daddy could take an anniversary trip to California. Mommy and Daddy missed Lila and thought about her constantly but felt better when they'd receive picture texts from Granddaddy so they knew Baby Lila was having a good time...and it's apparent that's she wasn't being mistreated one bit! I think Granddaddy figured out how to get the giggles out of Miss Lila.

Rolling over!

Sorry about the delay in posting pics...I'm behind and will try to post new ones soon.

Just wanted to make record that Lila is now rolling over. She stayed with family friend, Ginger Kerr Collier, last Thurday (May 20th) and when I picked her up Ginger was telling me how Lila had almost rolled off the blanket onto the floor when she woke up and then rolled over again while playing. I was so surprised! That was the first time and I missed it. Ginger couldn't believe it and said she wouldn't have told me if she knew it was a first...HA HA!

Since then Lila has rolled over a few more times and had yesterday morning when Lucas got her up in the morning. That was a surprise for him to see.

Also in news:

• Lila is almost sitting up by herself. She can balance pretty well and think it'll just be a matter of time.

• Lila has had rice cereal a few times and likes it ok. I'm sure she'll like carrots and fruits much better than that bland stuff. I bought a baby food steam/cooker so maybe we'll do things the super healthy way!

4 months!

Lila Baby is 4 months old today! It's appropriate that today marks the anniversary when we found out we'd be having her :)

Ready for the Water!

We're ready for summertime! It's a fit and Lila didn't seem to mind the lifejacket too much...this time anyways!

Happy Anniversary!

Tomorrow (May 3rd) Lucas and I celebrate our 2nd wedding anniversary! It seems like we got married just yesterday and I hope things feel the same when we celebrate our 20th.

We went to Lantana Lodge and had brunch with my parents to reminisce about the wedding day there.

Bluebonnets

It's MUCH harder than you'd imagine to take pictures of a little baby in bluebonnets. Luckily we did capture a few good shots of our Beauty!

Exersaucer and Miscellaneous - 14 weeks

This week Lila has started laughing out loud....mostly at Daddy because he's funny! I don't have it on video yet but we'll be working on it :) Here's some miscellaneous pictures:

This is my bathing suit from when I was a little girl. We didn't swim but I couldn't help myself from trying it on her.

This is the baby girl after a nighttime bath. You can tell from the red eyes...she's exhausted and passed out about 15 mins later.

I put together the Exersaucer on Sunday and it only too a couple of hours! ARGH! Lila already loves it as you can tell. She's not quite big enough to enjoy all the fun toys on it yet...but she will be soon.

Purple - 13 weeks

I think purple is Lila's color.

I wish I'd known that ahead of time since everything in her room/closet is PINK! Daddy was right :(

Lila's becoming so interactive...and she really loves her Mommy! WE LOVE IT!

Happy Easter and 3 month Birthday!

Lila has learned to mimic and in this video she's copying the sound Lucas makes. This went on for several minutes! SO CUTE!

April Fools

10 Weeks

Lila is 10 weeks old and life is finally getting back to normal. She's such a good baby, but definitely lets us know if she's needing something :) No surprise she's going to be vocal. Here's a list of things happening this week:

• Holding head up during tummy time with much more ease
• Rolled over - totally by accident
• Started grabbing for objects and enjoys playing with her rattle (see video)
• Grabs her bottle during feedings which makes it quite a battle sometimes
• Loves to sing "Somewhere over the Rainbow" with Daddy
• Enjoys playing with Miss Lorna 3 times a week at the house so Mommy can work
• On a downside this will be the last week of breastfeeding :(
