When we first saw the baby it had its hands up by its face and its legs were crossed. The baby measured at 57 millimeters which is in line with our January 4th due date. Based on the ultrasound the baby doesn't have Down Syndrome and we're low risk for other birth defects but will hear more if anything comes up in the blood work in a week or so (cross your fingers we won't hear from them). AND.....although it's still early and there's no external sex organs the dr and tech both agreed that it's a GIRL!!!!!!! They look at some lines down near that area and can tell based on which direction the lines are facing. The dr said it's about 90% sure. I'm going to start buying pink (and save the receipts just in case).
Ultrasounds are so amazing....we saw the heart beating, the stomach, kidneys, and blood flow!
When the dr was looking at her she started bouncing up and down. She did it about 5 times and was so funny to watch....I guess she already has daddy's energy!
