We went in for our 20 week sonogram today! Got a call last week that the doctor's office had a brand new machine and they'd have a trainer in with the sonographer instructing her on how to use the equipment. I was fine with that but when we got in this morning the trainer hadn't made it in yet and everything wasn't set up with the new machine so....we got some initial views but they weren't able to measure all the parts or give us pictures. The sonographer felt really bad...it wasn't her fault but after we left she set up her old equipment and gave us a call back to come in and do it all over again. The chance to see my baby twice in one day didn't bother me one bit...so we went back. We got some really good pictures and the baby looks totally healthy. The best part is...I don't have to return my PINK! We saw her female parts so we know she's 100% girl.
I get the feeling she doesn't really like sonograms though :) She was twisting around and squirming everywhere. It's so amazing to see that and it's still unbelievable to think it's happening right in my belly! She even kicked the dr. when we was testing for her heart rate....I hope I don't have a head-strong little girl on my hands already but I can pretty much guess the answer to that if she's anything like her mommy and daddy.
I have a noticeable belly now and will post a pic very soon. I've only gained 3 lbs though which I'm happy about. I'm sure that will be times 10 by the time January comes.

Lila already has a little mind of her own!! Liz, did your Mom ever say to you, "I hope you have a little girl who is just like YOU!" ? My Mom did, always with her tongue in her cheek. :)
