I felt the baby!

Well it's Week 18 right around the typical time to start feeling the baby move. I thought I had felt something this past weekend but wasn't 100% sure. Since then I've felt the same thing twice more. Last night when I got into bed I was laying on my back and felt one pretty strong punch and then some other flutters. I think I could feel them with my hand so I'm hoping Lucas will be able to soon as well. It's exactly how they describe it: like little bubbles popping in your uterus! How awesome! It's so nice to know the baby's healthy and kicking in there :) She/he's supposed to be about 5.5 to 6 inches now.

We go in about a week for our 20 week sonogram - on August 17th. We'll find out then if it's A GIRL for sure....or not. Either way we'll certainly be happy but if it's a boy I'll have to take just a few things back :) I couldn't help myself but I haven't gone overboard.

I'm still trying to talk Lucas into letting me paint the nursery pink if it's a girl...and I think I'm inching closer. Cross your fingers :)

  1. I still remember where I was and what I was doing when I felt Langston for the first time. It's so amazing!
